Weight loss in Grand Rapids has been perfected by Dr. Rosner. His successful program is based on whole foods with targeted prescription medications, nutritional supplements, specifically designed meal plans, and meal replacements. The combination of whole foods, supplements, and medications is designed to ensure safe and effective weight loss. The program is founded on evidence-based medical practices. Another advantage of the program is the option to have noninvasive body sculpting treatments. These highly effective treatments destroy fat and tighten skin.

As an obesity medicine specialist, Dr. Rosner understands that many people regain weight once a “program” is over. The key to a successful program involves a detailed yet easy-to-follow maintenance plan. Dr. Rosner’s program comes with a robust maintenance plan to prevent regaining a significant amount of the weight you have worked so hard to lose.

Rest assured that Dr. Rosner will be with you every step of the way. He is determined and focused to make sure you succeed.

The HCG Diet is another option offered.

Prescription Medication: Helps control appetite. The goal is to use these medications for the shortest time, but they can be long-term if needed.

Meal ReplacementsFormulated with the proper calories, protein, fiber, and vitamins and minerals.

Booster (Lipotropic) Shots: Strongly recommended to increase metabolism and energy. Also, help to detoxify your body and promote a healthy liver. Some fat is actually stored in toxins. Therefore, fewer body toxins mean less body fat.

Body Contouring: Using ultrasound, laser, and radio frequency help to shape the areas of your choice.

Nutritional Supplements: Unfortunately, our food supply is subpar and much of our food is processed. Processed food lacks the vitamins, minerals, protein, and fiber that our bodies desperately need. Low levels of nutrients can cause weight gain, inflammation, fatigue, weakness, low muscle and tone, and decreased memory. The nutritional supplements prescribed to you have the proper ingredients and nutrition to optimize your health and promote weight loss.

Laboratory Assessment: Covered by most medical insurance companies. These markers are extremely important to implement precision medicine that allows Dr. Rosner to tailor your program specifically to you and optimize your health. A few of these are typically performed by your primary care physician, but those don’t allow for a complete and detailed assessment of your health. You deserve more.

Complete Blood Count (Measures and reports the following):

White Blood Cell (WBC): White blood cells. These cells fight infections.

Red Blood Cell (RBC): Red blood cells, also called erythrocytes, are cells that circulate in the blood and carry oxygen throughout the body.

Platelets: Platelets are very small cells found in the blood and are essential for blood clotting.

ALT/AST: Measurement of liver function

BUN/Creatine/Electrolytes: Measurement of kidney function along with sodium and potassium

TSH/T4/T3: Measurement of thyroid function

Cortisol: Cortisol can be measured in the blood, saliva, and urine and can be affected by many conditions, such as physical or emotional stress, strenuous activity, infection, or injury. It is involved in regulating blood sugar, blood pressure, and inflammation. Normalizing cortisol is very important to lose weight.

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10): Has a significant role in the formation of energy within cells and also serves as a potent antioxidant. Dietary sources and/or supplements provide CoQ10.

Lipid Panel (Measures and reports the following):

HDL: Often referred to as “good cholesterol”

LDL: Often referred to as “bad cholesterol”

Triglycerides: Fatty acids attached to glycerol that function as fat storage

Small Dense LDL (Bad) Cholesterol: Quantifies the amount of cholesterol in sdLDL particles, which are denser and more atherogenic LDL particles. Patients may have a normal LDL level and still create vascular disease, causing heart attack and stroke. The small dense particles are a predictor of vascular disease. Many patients are not offered this inexpensive test that may save lives.

Insulin/Glucose/HbA1c/Insulin Resistance: These tests offer an in-depth assessment of prediabetic and diabetic status. Many people have prediabetes and do not know it. The goal is to identify these patients and make sure they never progress to diabetes. If they have diabetes, the goal is to eliminate the disease and or lower/eliminate the consequences of diabetes.

MTHFR Genetic Testing: MTHFR (methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase) is the enzyme responsible for metabolizing folate, which, in turn, is essential for converting homocysteine to methionine. Homocysteine is a necessary amino acid that plays an important role in metabolism, but high levels are related to a higher risk of coronary heart disease, stroke, and peripheral vascular disease. The intended use of MTHFR genetic testing is to assess and minimize a patient’s risk for cardiovascular disease (CVD).

Homocysteine: Inflammatory marker that can lead to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease.

Vitamin D Levels: Vitamin D is a hormone precursor that promotes bone, calcium, and phosphorus metabolism. Studies show low levels are linked to weight gain and depression.

Fatty Acid Balance: What is all this talk about good fats, bad fats, and omega-3, -6, and -9? Don’t worry, Dr. Rosner addresses all this fat talk and tailors a program to put your body back in balance.

 Measures and reports the following:

-Saturated Fatty Acid Index

-Trans Fatty Acid Index

-Monounsaturated Fatty Acid Index

-Unsaturated/Saturated Ratio Index

-Omega-3 Fatty Acid Index

-Omega-6 Fatty Acid Index

-EPA/AA Ratio Index

-Omega-3/Omega-6 Ratio Index

-Levels of all the major omega-3 fatty acids including EPA, DHA, and ALA, as well as the two major omega-6 fatty acids, AA and LA
