The Chemical Peel Experience at Remedy+
Before Your Peel
Avoid exfoliating active ingredients, face masks, self tanners, and retinol products for at least 5 days prior to treatment. Limit direct sun exposure for 72 hours prior and wear SPF every day leading up. We cannot treat you if you are sunburned — even if it's a minor rosy burn.
During the Treatment
The peel application takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Your aesthetician will cleanse your skin, apply the peel solution, and leave it in place for a specific amount of time. You may feel a mild tingling or warming sensation — this is normal and indicates the peel is working.
After the Peel
Wash the peel off 4 hours after treatment using the post-treatment care kit provided. Avoid wearing any makeup for 24 hours after treatment. Cleanse, moisturize, and use SPF with your post-treatment care kit as instructed for 1 week. Avoid picking, pulling, rubbing, or removing the skin as it peels.
Face peeling can begin as early as 24 hours and last up to 10 days. Body peeling can take up to a week to begin. Results appear after your skin has finished peeling — clearer, brighter, more even skin.
How Often Should You Get a Chemical Peel?
We recommend 3 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart for optimal results. Depending on your unique goals, additional sessions may be advised. Chemical peels are also included in our Love Your Face Membership, which provides chemical peels as part of your annual treatment plan.
