KYBELLA® is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment specifically designed to destroy fat cells under the chin (submental area), permanently reducing moderate to severe fullness.

The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, it destroys fat cells — and once destroyed, those cells can no longer store or accumulate fat.

Results develop gradually over a series of treatments, with most patients needing 2-4 sessions spaced at least one month apart (up to 6 maximum).
