    A chemical peel is a skin treatment that uses a specialized blend of acids to change the pH level of the skin, loosening dead skin from new skin for a deep exfoliation that reveals a healthy, refreshed layer beneath.

    At Remedy+, we use VI Peel® — a medium-depth chemical peel that offers multiple formulations: Precision Plus (our most popular, for sun damage and melasma), Purify (for acne and oily skin), Advance (for mature skin with deep wrinkles), Original (great first-time peel), Body (for decollete, body acne, and stretch marks), and ToxBooster (combined with neurotoxin for enhanced results).

    Results are visible after your skin finishes peeling — typically 7-10 days — revealing clearer, brighter, more even skin.

    Avoid peels if you have active sunburn, even a minor rosy burn. Stop retinol and exfoliating products 5 days before treatment and limit sun exposure for 72 hours prior.

    Before Your Treatment

    • Avoid exfoliating active ingredients, face masks, self tanners, and retinol products for at least 5 days prior to treatment.
    • Limit direct sun exposure for 72 hours prior to treatment. Wear SPF every day leading up.
    • We cannot treat you if you are sunburned — even if it's a minor rosy burn.

    After Your Treatment

    • Wash the peel off 4 hours after treatment using the post-treatment care kit.
    • Avoid wearing any makeup for 24 hours after treatment.
    • Cleanse, moisturize, and use SPF with your post-treatment care kit as instructed for 1 week.
    • Avoid picking, pulling, rubbing, or removing the skin as it peels.

    Results

    Face: Peeling can begin as early as 24 hours and last up to 10 days. Body: Peeling can take up to a week to begin. Results appear after your skin has finished peeling — clearer, brighter, more even skin.

    Frequency

    We recommend 3 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart. Depending on your unique goals, additional sessions may be advised.
