What to Expect
Before & After
Before Your Treatment
- Avoid blood thinning medications including aspirin due to the possibility of excessive bleeding during your hair restoration procedure.
- Avoid smoking, alcohol, and Vitamin E during the days leading up to the procedure.
- Avoid caffeinated/energy drinks the night before and the morning of the procedure.
- Eat a light breakfast on the day of your hair restoration treatment.
After Your Treatment
- Sleep with your head elevated and flat in the next few weeks following your procedure.
- Avoid strenuous activities for 2 weeks after your procedure.
- Non-strenuous activities can be resumed the day after the procedure.
- Avoid wearing hats, beanies, etc. for a few weeks following the procedure as your head and scalp is healing.
Results
Swelling is normal and should subside 1-2 days after your procedure. A few weeks after your treatment, the implanted hair will fall out — this is completely normal. Within four to six months, you will start to see your natural hair growing from the transplanted follicles. Full results and more natural-looking growth can be expected about a year after the initial procedure.
